3. What is personal data used for and what is the legal basis for processing?

We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Managing customer, supplier and other stakeholder relationships
• Entering into contracts and fulfilling the obligations under them
• Sending marketing communications, if you have given your consent
• Handling inquiries, complaints and customer feedback

The processing of personal data is based primarily either on the performance of a contract with you or on Oy Plastex Ab's legitimate interest in maintaining and developing its stakeholder relationships.

Providing your contact details is a prerequisite for entering into a contract and for managing the customer or supplier relationship; without them, the contract cannot be concluded and delivery cannot be arranged.

4. Rights of the data subject

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject has the right to:

• inspect the data recorded about them
• request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• request the erasure of data, if the processing is no longer necessary and no statutory obligation prevents erasure
• request restriction of processing for the duration of a dispute concerning the accuracy of the data
• object to processing based on legitimate interest on grounds relating to their particular situation
• prohibit the use of their data for direct marketing
• receive the data they have provided in a machine-readable format and transfer it to another controller, when the processing is based on consent or contract
• withdraw their consent, if the processing is based solely on consent
• lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority

5. Regular sources of information

Information is generally obtained from the data subject themselves:

• From the customer, when the customer relationship is established
• From the supplier, when the supplier relationship is established
• From the business partner, when the partnership is established
• From the data subject via the website's contact form
• From the data subject's employer or the organisation they represent, in the case of contact person details

6. Regular disclosures and recipients of data

As a rule, data is not disclosed outside Oy Plastex Ab for marketing purposes, and data is processed only by those of our employees whose duties require it.

We also use external service providers in our operations (e.g. IT and information system services, and accounting). They process personal data only in accordance with our instructions and under contract.

Data may also need to be disclosed to authorities if we are subject to a statutory obligation to do so.

7. Retention period

Personal data is generally processed for as long as the customer or supplier relationship is ongoing, and thereafter for as long as necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Accounting records are retained for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act. Messages received via the contact form are retained for a maximum of two years after the matter has been resolved.

8. Transfer of data outside the EU

Personal data is not transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

9. Automated decision-making and profiling

We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.

10. Cookies on the website

Plastex's website does not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. The website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for its technical operation, which do not require separate consent.
